rotary kiln Introduction

Raw meal is fed into kiln cylinder from the tail of the kiln tube end. Because the inclined kiln and slowly rotating, so the material to produce a rolling composite motion along the circumferential direction, and along the axial direction from the high-end to low-end mobile, raw material in the kiln through decomposition, sintering process, sintering cement clinker from low-end kiln discharge, into the cooling machine.

The fuel spray from kiln head into, burning in kiln, heat the material issued, the calcine raw material into the clinker, in exchange for the hot air during the formation of the material and heat, the kiln feed end into the kiln system (preheated and collector), and finally by the chimney into the atmosphere.

Rotary Kiln Features:

1) The rotary kiln is an inclined rotary cylinder, the raw material enter the cylinder through the high end of the machine,then move in with the movement of of the rotary kiln. Therefore, the rotary kiln is a conveying equipment.

Rotary Kiln Application:

Cement kiln is used for making of cement clinker and there are dry and wet methods to make cement. Metallurgy chemical kiln is used for magnetic roasting of iron ore and oxidizing roasting of chrome and nickel in the steel factory, baking high-alumina mine in the refractory material factory,baking chamotte and alumina in the aluminium factory and baking chrome ore and chrome powder in the chemical plant. Limekiln (active limekiln) is used for baking active lime or lightly burning dolomite in steel factory or ferroalloy factory.

The processing flow of lime production line :

Qualified limestone stores in silos and be shipped through the pre-heater by the elevator into the silos which is on the top of the pre-heater. The pre-heater on the top of silos is consisted of top and bottom level meter controllers which control the feeding capacity.Then through the feed tube the limestone is distributed to the indoor compartment of the pre-heater.

The limestone in the pre-heater is heated to around 900 by the kiln flue gas of 1150 . At this time, about 30% of the limestone has been decomposition. Then the limestone is put into the rotary kiln by the hydraulic stem. In the rotary kiln the limestone sinters and decomposes into CaO and CO2. Then the decomposed limestone goes into the cooler and is cooled to about 100 by the cold air and then is discharged. The 600 hot air after heat exchange goes into the kiln and combusts with gas. The Exhaust gas blended with the cold wind go to the bag filter through the suction fan and then through the exhaust fan into the chimney.

The limestone out of the cooler enters into the lime storehouse through the vibrating feeder, chain bucket conveyor, bucket elevator and belt conveyor. Whether to carry out screening and other procedures depends on customer requirements.
